Abstract/Summary
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was undertaken on land at Edwinstowe in Nottinghamshire.
The survey recorded minimal magnetic variation that conceivably resolves as potential archaeological remains. Suggestions of a possible segmented ditch were detected at the south-west corner of the site, although this interpretation is tenuous. Elsewhere, the majority of weak variation almost certainly reflects natural features in the form of ferrous-enhanced mineral deposits.
High readings were recorded in close proximity to electricity poles and tension cables, along field boundaries and as discrete responses across both fields. The latter probably signify modern miscellaneous ferrous debris.
