Title Radcliffe on Trent: Geophysical Survey Report
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2013

Abstract/Summary

A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 13 hectares of agricultural land. The survey identified a number of anomalies that are associated with the area’s agricultural past suggested by the archaeological report. Areas of ridge and furrow cultivation and former field boundaries suggest agricultural activity on the site during the medieval period. There are also a number of anomalies that may be of archaeological significance, but cannot be classified as such with any degree of confidence. The remaining anomalies are not of archaeological significance.
