Abstract/Summary
This Heritage Appraisal of land at Three Thorn Hollow Farm, Rainworth has been researched.
The Site is located to the south-west of Rainworth, a linear settlement approximately 6km south-east of Mansfield. The Site comprises 7.14 hectares of land.
The Appraisal comprises an examination of evidence in the Nottinghamshire Historic Environment Record (HER) and online resources. Information regarding Scheduled Monuments, Registered Parks and Gardens, Registered Battlefields and Listed Buildings was obtained from Historic England’s National Heritage List for England.
A site visit was made on 8th June 2018 in good weather conditions and it was possible to obtain clear views of the Site and the surrounding landscape. An internal inspection of the farmstead was not carried out.
