Abstract/Summary

CFA Archaeology Ltd was commissioned to undertake a geophysical (magnetometer) survey across a c.3.4ha area on land to the south of Spring Lane, Burton Joyce, Nottingham (NGR SK 62618 44092). The geophysical survey recorded no anomalies which could be deemed archaeological orunknown in origin. The north-western corner of the Proposed Development Site showed a large spread of ferrous material likely resulting from agricultural material. Across the surveyed area were linear trends associated with modern field drains and ferrous spikes related to ferrous objects in the topsoil.
