Description

Mill, attached granary and bridge. Late C18. Red brick. Pantile roofs. Mill with raised eaves band and external right gable stack. 2 storeys plus basement and garret, 3 bays. Doorway with double plank door under segmental arch. Either side are single glazing bar Yorkshire sashes under segmental arches. Below that on the right is a doorway with wooden door under a segmental arch. Above, single glazing bar Yorkshire sash and to the right a single Yorkshire sash both under segmental arches. To the left is the single storey plus garret, 3 bay granary with dentil eaves. Doorway with plank door, to the right is a small doorway with plank door under a segmental arch and to the left a single tripartite glazing bar Yorkshire sash in former arched doorway. Extending in front of part of the mill and granary is the bridge with C20 brick and concrete parapet. Interior contains part of the wooden wheel, a set of grey stones, a set of French stones, some of the gearing for driving the wheel and hoist. (NCC/js)
