Description

Stables and coach house, c.1820. Extended mid C19. Brick, partly rendered, with hipped slate roofs. Brick plinth, dentillated eaves. Single side wall and single ridge stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. L-plan. Windows are mainly casements with segmental heads and half round casements. South front has recessed bay to left with a pair of elliptical headed carriage Wing to right has brick and stone winder stair with square casement below. To right, C20 lean-to addition. Above to right, round headed casement. Above again, to left, plank door. To its right, Yorkshire sash. West front has off-centre round headed recess containing door with fanlight and half round casement. To right, door with fanlight and beyond, a casement. Above to left, a casement. North side has 3 half round casements and above, to left, a similar casement. To right, hoist door. East side has 2 casements. (NCC/js)
