Description

Bridge. Early C19. Widened C20. Ashlar and cylopean rusticated ashlar. Set on a rusticated plinth. Central rusticated arch with keystone, flanked by single rusticated cutwaters and single slightly smaller similar arches. Flanking these are single coped piers rising above the parapet. The cutwaters are graded into flat slightly projecting coped piers, which also rise just above the parapet. The parapet is coped, has a band at road level and single round terminating coped piers on triangular bases. The bridge has been widened and is dated 1940 on the right of the south side. (NCC/js)
