Description

House/link walls and outbuildings. Late C18, with C19 porch. Dressed coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Slate roof with 2 stone gable stacks, stone coped gables and kneelers. Set on a plinth. 2 storeys plus garret, 3 bays, with 3 two storey recessed, arched panels each with stone archivolt with keystone. Impost band. Central closed and gabled C19 ashlar and slate porch with pediment in the gable. Set on a plinth with projecting quoins and sill band. Single glazing bar fixed light. The east side has a blocked doorway, the west a C20 door. Either side are single sashes with marginal glazing bars, with 3 similar, smaller sashes above. All sashes have flush ashlar surrounds. Each garret has a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash with fanlight in ashlar surround with imposts and keystone. Either side, to the rear, are dressed coursed rubble single storey link walls. Set on a plinth with ashlar coping. Each with single doorway with wooden door in flush ashlar surround. The walls terminate in single, slightly projecting, dressed coursed rubble outbuildings with pyramidal pantile roofs. Each set on a plinth, 2 storeys, single bay with recessed arched panel with stone archivolt and impost band. The left outbuilding has a single glazing bar casement on each floor, the right outbuilding has a single opening on each floor. All openings have flush ashlar surrounds. (NCC/js)
