Description
Former parish church, now vested in the redundant churches fund. C12, C14, and C16. Coursed rubble, some ashlar. Plain tile roofs. East chancel with remains of single crocketed ridge finial. Chancel and nave. The west wall has 2 rectangular lights with a single larger rectangular light with flush ashlar quoin surround above. The north wall has a single C14 window with 2 ogee arched and cusped lights with mouchettes under a flat arch. To the left, in a slightly projecting bay is a single pointed arched light. In the north chancel is a single 2 light window with single stone mullion under a flat arch. The buttressed east end is set on a plinth and has a single C14 window with 3 ogee arched and cusped lights and mouchettes under a flat arch. Over is the date 1577. In the gable apex is a fragment of a decoratively carved cross. The south chancel is set on a shallow plinth and has a single C14 window with 2 ogee arched and cusped lights and tracery under a flat arch, with remains of a hood mould and human head label stops. The south nave has a single similar window. The round arched south doorway has an inner order of worn C12 zigzag to arch and jambs. Interior has fragments of early C19 furnishings. (NCC/js)
