Full Description

Nave and slightly lower chancel. S wall with Norman masonry and … doorway. Windows C14. Interior of c.1820. Traces of C18 wall paintings. (2)
Still roofed, but derelict. (3)
Unrestored interior with box pews, squires pew, W gallery, pulpit and hat pegs. (4)
Named 'Stoke Chapel'. (5)
Tradition said that at one time it stood at Stoke, near the spot at present occupied by the vicarage. The date 1577 occurred on a stone over the east window, [possibly] … the date at which the chapel was removed and rebuilt. It might … have formed part of the hospital at Stoke, a religious foundation … which was disestablished shortly before the date mentioned. (6)
