Description
Viaduct. 1770 designed by Smeaton and widened 1922. Red brick. 7 round arches with buttresses between, plus brick parapets topped with ashlar coping, with scrolled and ramped ends with round brick piers. Part of Smeaton's Causeway built as improvements to the Great North Road by John Smeaton. Part of this viaduct also lies within the parish of South Muskham. (NCC/js)
