Description

Farmhouse. Early C18, raised 1783 and extended 2 bays, C19. Brick with pantile roof. C18 west end has stone and brick plinth, first floor band, diaper work, dentillated eaves band, single ridge and single gable stacks, west gable dated 1783. 2 storeys plus garrets, 3 unequal bays. Windows are mainly C19 and C20 casements. Ground floor openings have segmental heads. North side has off-centre door flanked by single casements, and to right, another casement. Above, 2 casements and to right, a Yorkshire sash. West gable has central casement and door to right. Above, a central casement. Above again, another casement. South side has to left 2 casements and to right, C20 French window. Above, off-centre blocked round opening, flanked by single casements with segmental heads. Interior has fireplace bressummer, 4 span beams with chamfered and run-out stops, first floor stud wall, altered principal rafter roof with collars and tenoned purlins. Early C19 hob grate and Classical style late C18 fireplace. 2 C18 plank doors. (NCC/js)
