Description

Geophysical survey [was carried out] on selected field-boundary intersections [showing as cropmarks]. Two areas were surveyed with resitivity meter. Area C, 60x60m, showed none of the features expected. Lines of resistance parallel to the modern track represented recent ploughing. This technique could not be used to detect unknown features as even known ones were not visible. (1) See E 9040 for geophysics on area D, E9046 for fieldwalking, E170, E9044,5 for trial trenches.
