Description

Five trenches (P-T) were opened using a JCB with ditching bucket to remove the ploughsoil. Sections were cleaned, the surface trowelled and planned and features selectively excavated and recorded. In addition, the sections of area U (which had already been stripped of topsoil) were cleaned and recorded. (1) See E9042 for trenches F, G and J, E9043 for D, E and H. Grid reference centred.
