Description

At the time of the survey not all of the site was ploughed. As a result only a 500 x 80m sample area was walked [with parallel transects spaced at 10m intervals]. The field surface was not fully weathered but was well washed. … A substantial quantity of iron stone, haematite and some slag was also noted on the hilltop, though not collected. (1) See E9010 for geophysics on this site. See E9007 for cross refs to A453 improvement scheme evaluations.
