Description
Human skulls found during quarrying led to the recording of the quarry face and the excavation of a 2m wide adjacent strip by the Trust for Tarmac Roadstone Ltd. Sediment from this area was removed in 0.2m vertical spits with shovels. Three spits were removed in the time available. (1) (2) (3)
