Description

Human skulls found during quarrying led to the recording of the quarry face and the excavation of a 2m wide adjacent strip by the Trust for Tarmac Roadstone Ltd. Sediment from this area was removed in 0.2m vertical spits with shovels. Three spits were removed in the time available.
