Description

An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Heritage Lincolnshire at Staythorpe sub-station, on behalf of National Power. Two trenches 5.5 m square by 5.75 (W trench) and 6.5m (E trench) deep for the pylon's supporting legs were watched. (The location plans also denote a large area to the E of the pylon which was apparently also subject to the watching brief but no further mention is made). (1) See E9104 for fieldwalking, E962 for geophysics, E895 for trial trenching
