Description
Watching briefs carried out in 1993 and 1994 along a c.25km length of the Fosse Way (A46) between Saxondale, Notts., and RAF Swinderby, Lincs. This work accompanied the laying of fibre optic cables in a trench along the roadside verge. … The trench was dug by mechanical excavator to a depth of 0.7 - 0.8m and a width of between 0.25 and 0.5m.
