Description

Monitor mechanical trench excavation for a replacement water main throught the village of East Markham. An intensive watching brief at the E end of the village in the older part of the settlement. To the W of this section an intermittent watching brief was requested. The new main was of pipes of diameter 90 and 125mm, with some 180mm, laid in a trench 0.5m wide and usually slightly over 1.05m deep. (1) Grid ref for SW corner of intensive monitoring, by Vicarage.
