Description

An intermittent watching brief of trenching for a replacement water main through the villages of Gamston and Eaton, Notts. LAS was not informed when trenching began for this scheme, and when monitoring began virtually all the pipe in Gamston and most of Eaton had been laid and the trenches backfilled. In Eaton, the trench was 0.9m deep and 0.35m wide where monitored; the pipe was moled beneath the River Idle. (1) Grid ref for W end of trench. See E9291 for trench in Gamston.
