Description

Watching brief during renewal of the water main during the Bunny Hill and Rempstone Supply Deficiency Scheme. In area 1 the pipe was laid partly through the road surface and partly through the pavement. In area 2 it was laid in the road verge at the very edge of the tarmac. Trenching was undertaken using a JCB with narrow toothed bucket, resulting in a trench 0.4m wide and 1.3m deep. (1) Grid ref for N end of trench, area 1, but note L11766 was further to the N.
