Full Description

Area 1. Excavation of the pipe-trench revealed a brick lined drain 1m below the present road surface, running approximately S-N. It was constructed of 3" deep bricks with a grey slate cover. Judging from the construction and size of the bricks, a late C19 or later date is likely for this drain. (1)
