Description

The area of the cropmark site was topsoil and subsoil stripped by JCB and was then cleaned by hand. There were several internal features located through the hand cleaning and all of these plus six sections through the enclosure ditch were excavated and recorded by hand. (1) (2) See E9357 - E9359 for previous fieldwalking and trial trenching.
