Description

Archaeological evaluation in advance of a proposed quarry extension. Six trenches were excavated … each 25m in length and 1.8m wide. All trenches were excavated by mechanical excavator equiped with toothless grading bucket. Where archaeological deposits were encountered they were excavated by hand. A post-medieval pit and plough scars were recorded.
