Description

All of the higher ground of a sandy ridge plus its margins (c.12ha) and swales (which might provide slightly drier ground c.5ha) was fieldwalked at a 10m transect interval, along with a sample of the wetter, peaty topsoils at 50m transect interval (c.7ha). (1) Grid ref centred. See E9437 for trial trenches, E9438 for geophysical survey, E9441 for watching brief.
