Description

Study area covering c.3ha. Gradiometer scanning survey noted a magnetically quiet background response but with frequent isolated ferrous responses which are attributed to surface scatters of modern debris. Detailed survey has detected no anomalies of archaeological interest. Ploughing trends are on a similar alignment to the cropmark and it is possible that the latter is agricultural in origin. It may be that the ploughing trends obscure the postulated enclosure or that ploughing has all but destroyed it.
