Description

Archaeological work and a watching brief took place in 2008 prior to the repair of a fissure by UK Coal Mining Ltd. The area fell within the area of Scheduled Monument No. 29931 which contains the remains of two Roman marching camps. A ditch was recorded in trench 3 but left in situ.
