Description

Trial trenches, evaluation and watching brief at Grove Farm prior to residential development. 19 trial trenches and a 0.15ha area in the south-west corner were excavated. A large enclosure ditch, curvilinear feature and pit were of Roman date, and a field system was either of Iron Age of Roman date. Medieval furrows were also noted
