Description

Watching Brief during the excavation of 27 trenches forming part of works to an existing pipeline, 4 of which were in the area of the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Margidunum. Romano-British pottery recovered from statified layers. Most trenches cut into previously excavated trench for the pipeline, but trenches 21 (southernmost pits of this group) 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 (northernmost pit of this group) contained Romano Bristish Potttery ranging from the 1st to the 4th century AD.
