Description

Monitoring of residential development groundworks at the former Miners' Welfare Club recorded the foundations of earlier stone cottages adjoining Mansfield Road. Watching brief encountered footing of former stone cottages in the foundation trenches in 4 plots for houses on Mansfield Road, Skegby. A well was also discovered but no dating eveidence was forth coming. Dated as post medieval.
