Description

An archaeological desk-based assessment was carried out on land at Beacon Hill Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire. The work was commissioned prior to seeking to obtain planning permission for residential development. Searches involving archaeological databases, historical & cartographic documents, secondary sources, geological/geotechnical information took place alongside a site inspection – with photos. "The site of land at Beacon Hill Road has a generally low potential for archaeological remains of all periods, although there is a moderate potential for finds dating to the medieval period”.
