Description

This desk based assessment is concerned with a pre-planning enquiry for residential development of pasture land comprising an area of approximately 16ha, Collingham, Notts. HER and other historic databases, and Nottinghamshire archives were consulted as part of the study. The assessment concludes that there is low-medium potential for archaeological remains to exist within the site, and in particular may date from the prehistoric, Roman and Medieval periods – the report contains more specific detail on features and finds. The assessment contains a site map, a map regression exercise and modern photographs of the site.
