Description

Northamptonshire Archaeology was commissioned by CgMS Consulting Ltd to conduct an archaeological trial trench evaluation on land proposed for residential development at Lodge Farm, Edwalton. Twelve trenches totalling 480m2 were excavated. Trench 1 was 45m in length, the remainder were 25m long. Six features comprising gullies, ditches and a single pit were revealed. Only a singe ditch produced dating evidence, suggesting a low level of undefined Iron Age occupation.
