Description
A 'Dutch Head' type auger was used with up to 4m of extension rods. Auger holes were drilled every 100m along the transect line. Transect 3, Core 2 contained 1.4m of peat, suggesting this core may have penetrated a palaeochannel. Thin deposits found in cores 1, 3, 4 and 5.
