Description
A 'Dutch Head' type auger was used with up to 4m of extension rods. Auger holes were drilled every 100m along the transect line. In transect 5, a small gravel island could explain the lack of peat in cores 1 and 2. Peat is represented in cores 3-6 and absent in core 7.
