Description

Two excavation trenches were excavated in the NW corner of Moor Pond, in order to understand the sluice gate and adjoining stonework. This was completed during the Moor Wood Project excavations, which saw the excavation of a total of 6 trenches, as well as an EDM survey of the area. The excavation of these trenches verfiied the depressions in the ground surface as belonging to a mill sluice gate.
