Description

Watching brief monitoring the excavation of 14 signage pits for safety improvements along the A46. Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered, and the layers were primarily post-Victorian or natural. Material from a pre-Victorian cobbled road surface was recovered from pits 9, 10, and 11.
