Description

The site is 0.8km to the southeast of the centre of the town and is approximately 0.7 hectares in size. The proposed trial trenching methodology entailed the excavation of four trenches on the site, each measuring 20m long and 1.8m wide. The evaluation trenching exposed no archaeologically significant features or deposits, and no artefacts were recovered. Overall therefore, the proposed development is considered to have a negligible archaeological potential.
