Description

The site is located north of Holme Lane, c.1km west of the village. The footprint of the new tower measured c.8m x 10m, however the presence of a live underground service along the northern edge, reduced the surveyed area to 10m x 7.5m. The strip, map and record area was devoid of archaeological finds, features and deposits. There was no evidence of cremation burials as recorded in the area in the mid-19th century.
