The monitored works consisted of the excavation of the foundation trench for a new dwarf wall, with railings above, located within the garden area at the south end of the eastern boundary of the property, adjacent to North Church Walk. The trench measured 5.0m in length, 0.60m wide and a maximum of 0.40m deep.
The trench could not be excavated beyond a maximum depth of 0.40m due to the dense growth of tree roots. The only deposit exposed was the clayey silt topsoil, containingfragments of ceramic building material and modern refuse: its lower horizon was not reached. No finds were retrieved.
