Description
Low Croft lies on the south side of Main Street in the historic core of the village. It is a long thin plot of c.0.27 hectares, with the property lying in the northern end of the plot.
The archaeological evaluation consisted of three trenches, each measuring 15m x 2m. The trenches were positioned to investigate the footprints of the new dwellings to the rear of the existing property, and to investigate the potential of this previously undeveloped area.
Of the three trenches excavated, two were archaeologically negative, whilst the other contained a single undated gully.
