Description

The site is located on land to the south of Featherstone House Farm, c. 1.5km south-west of the village of Bilsthorpe and west of Crifton Lodge. The site comprises the remaining south-east corner of a previously agricultural field, recently redeveloped as a solar farm. Two trenches, each 10m long by 1.8m wide. There were no features of archaeological interest indentified nor finds recovered in either trench and no residual pottery of any date observed either within the trenches or amongst the spoil heaps.
