Description

The site is located within the historic core of the Medieval village of Eakring, which is listed in the Domesday Survey of 1086 as ‘Echering.The area of the surveyed site was 0.47 hectares. This took place over 5 days between April 2012 and March 2016. 4 days were spent watching the foundation excavations of the four dwellings and a fifth day was spent watching the excavation of the east-west driveway that accesses plots 1-3. The archaeological strip and record was able to establish that there was an absence of any archaeological features within those areas recorded
