A strip and record was conducted at Highbury, Kirklington Road, Eakring between 2012 and 2016. Plots 1, 2 & 3 were undertaken on land apparently previously untouched by earthworks associated with the establishment of Highbury house, which was built immediately after WWII. Plot 4 appears to have been truncated by the associated tennis court that was associated with Highbury house and therefore also dates to post WWII. The archaeological strip and record was able to establish that there was an absence of any archaeological features within those areas recorded.
