Description

The development site lies on the west side of Orston Lane, at the southwest end of the village. The scheme of archaeological works involved monitoring of all ground disturbances, with the ability to stop and fully record archaeological features and to control the ground stripping if the archaeological remains encountered warranted this modification. No archaeology was present within the monitoring areas, the sequence comprised modern topsoil and the floor of a former outbuilding, over the natural geology. No finds were recovered.
