Description

The site lies at the north end of the village some 650m north of the parish church of St Giles. A visit was made to the site to observe the demolition of modern blockwork outbuildings and the concrete surface they had stood on. Subsequently, the footings were excavated by machine to the depths required by the development. The investigation revealed a sequence of natural, subsoil and topsoil deposits with no archaeological features being identified. No finds were retrieved during the work.
