Description
Alongside the trench evaluation was an element of Strip, Map and Sample excavation during the construction of a roundabout c. 0.282 ha in size, located either side of the A17.
The site lies approximately 2.5m to the northeast of the town of Newark-on-Trent and to the north of the village of Coddingto. The site is bordered to the north by the A17, and to the west by industrial premises including the Curry’s National Distribution Centre, and the A1.
No features were identified within the Strip, Map and Sample area.
