Description

The site is located on the north-east edge of the villae of Cotgrave. The irregular parcel of undeveloped land is bounded by Hollygate Lane to the north, Colston Gate to the south, and arable farmland to the east and west. It was proposed to excavate 11 trenches, each 50m long by 2m wide. The only features identified were ridge and furrow indicating earlier agricultural activity.
