Area 1, anomaly D and E … a linear alignment … runs north-east/south-west … 1-2m wide … 8m east of (and parallel with) the present woodland boundary and trenches C and D confirmed this was … a recent field boundary. … OS maps from 1841 to at least 1962 identified this as the remains of a field boundary.
