Full Description

A substantial quantity of medieval pottery was also recovered from the area walked. The pottery was distributed widely across the area, with concentrations towards the NE and SW edges of the survey. The majority of the pottery consisted of small heavily abraded sherds. It may perhaps represent a scatter of material derived from the manuring of the medieval fields. (1)
See L439 for ridge and furrow, L10976 and L10977 for other fieldwalking finds.
